Urban Blooms

Red / purple flowers
Purple Blooms
Red Blooms
Broad Flowers

I have lived in cities my whole life.  One of the things I like about cities is how people try to incorporate plant life and blooms within the concrete jungle.  I want to say these are exclusively spring blooms, but we have nice enough weather year round that there is always something growing.  I forget just how pretty my graduate school tries to keep the grounds.  We actually have a eucalyptus grove, a path of olive trees, orange trees, and a turtle pond, all on campus!  It's the small things in life, you know?

  1. Oh, pretty! My favourite blooms are jacaranda blooms that just show up so unashamedly purple around the city and suburbs haha.

  2. Beautiful flowers! :) I just moved to center city Philadelphia from rural North Carolina, and I've been pleasantly surprised to see how many plants and flowers there are in the city!

  6. I love all of the natural colors in your photographs! There's definitely something beautiful about seeing lush landscapes intertwined with a cityscape.

  8. These are such lovely photos. I love this time of year when flowers are starting to bloom and where there was no colour before, there's vibrant coloured flowers now! Such a happy time of the year. We have daffodils appearing in front of our house at the moment and it makes me so happy to see them!
